General Information

HOURS OF OPERATION
6:30am-6.30pm each day
(Closed on Public Holidays)

Please notify absences (by 2pm for Afterschool Care) via your My Family Lounge app.  If we do not receive a notification of your child’s absence a FEE will be charged to your account. This is due to the mandatory safety actions required to be taken if a child does not arrive at our service.

ENROLMENT FORMS
Due to the high volume of administration, all enrolment forms must be 100% complete prior to care commencing with CK. This includes providing a current Immunisation Statement and where applicable, Allergy Plan, Medication and Court Orders. This information can be completed and provided via your My Family Lounge app.

CONSENT FORMS
All families will be asked to sign a consent form allowing their child to:
– View P.G rated movies
– Use nail polish
– Face paint
– Coloured Hairspray
– Temporary Tattoos

VACATION CARE ESSENTIALS
Please Bring: a backpack, a sunsmart hat, a refillable water bottle, spare clothes, healthly lunch and sensible secure shoes. Please note that we plan to get messy and have lots of fun so make sure your child is not wearing their best dressed clothes.

ALLERGY and/or MEDICATION
Please ensure all staff are updated with allergy or medication information for your child and it is brought with them and handed to staff each booked day of attendance.

MEALS
BREAKFAST each day is served until 8am. It consists of selected cereals, toasties, fresh fruit & yoghurt. MORNING TEA & AFTERNOON tea is provided each day, the options will be themed to the activities for the day. GRAZING TABLE is a table filled with fresh seasonal fruit & dried fruits- pineapple, sultanas, apple, banana, water crackers, and rice cakes. The children are able to access these healthy snacks as & when they choose. LUNCH some selected theme days Lunch will be provided- (please see program booking form for this information) Please provide a healthy lunch option for Please ensure NO NUTS & NO EGGS or Egg & Nut BASED PRODUCTS are in packed lunches! Thank you for your cooperation in supporting allergy awareness.

Program

PROGRAM ROUTINE
Our Day begins at 6:30am with breakfast provided until 8am, at approximately this time the full program will commence. Our Flexible daily routine will be discussed each morning with the children and recorded on the white board. A variety of activities and experiences are on offer each day for the children to participate in- Sensory, Art & Craft, Imaginary Play, Construction, Musical experiences, Yoga, Technology, Cultural Inquiry, Active Play, and Sports games. A range of individual, quiet play, small group and large group games are available to meet the individual needs of each child.

EXCURSIONS DAYS
Please ensure your child is at the centre by 8AM on excursion days & please bring excursion forms with you on or prior to excursion day!

LOCAL EXCURSIONS
To support the children’s interests throughout the program we would love to have the flexibility to go on a local walk or bus excursions to the park, shops to buy cooking ingredients, post office or other facilities where interest is shown, within the local Sunbury Community District- We will always be returned to the service by 4.00pm. If you need to collect your child earlier than this time on any particular day please inform staff – Thank you

TECHNOLOGY
Our Team at Complete Kids appreciates the strong interest displayed by the children in technology and therefore have the following items for use- Television, D.V.D’s, Play station, D.S and I-Pads. These technology items are for use at quiet times. Are time monitored (usually 10 minute limit) and generally offered after 2pm each day. If your child chooses to bring their own technology to Vacation Care we ask that they respect the same guidelines apply and that we will not be held responsible for loss, damage or theft to personal property.

Booking Information

BOOKINGS
Bookings Open 6 weeks prior to program commencement. All vacation care fees need to be paid in advance. Payments to be made by credit card or Debit Success on booking closure date (approximately 2 weeks prior). To assist us with staff ratios please choose your dates carefully as we are unable to swap or change days

NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN FOR BOOKINGS THAT ARE NOT ATTENDED.

NO ALTERNATIVE CARE IS AVAILABLE AT THE SERVICE WHEN THERE IS AN EXCURSION.

PLACEMENTS & PRIORITY OF ACCESS
Sometimes there may be a waiting list for care services and to ensure the system is fair, the Australian Government has “Priority of Access Guidelines” for allocating places in these circumstances. The guidelines apply to Child Care Subsidy approved child care. They are used when there is a waiting list for a child care service or when a number of parents are applying for a limited number of vacant places.
PRIORITIES-
First Priority: a child at risk of serious abuse or neglect
Second Priority: a child of a single parent who satisfies or of parents who both satisfy the work/training/study test under section 14 of the ‘A New Tax System (Family Assistance) Act 1999
Third Priority: Any other child
