We would like to welcome you to our Kookaburras (Phillip Drive), Koalas (Phillip Drive), Emu’s (Barkly Street) and Goannas (Barkly Street) Kindergarten Rooms!
The preschool years are important and influential in the lives of young children and their families. At Complete Kids we have highly qualified and experienced preschool staff. Our four qualified kindergarten teachers hold university degrees in Early Childhood Education. Working closely with our Kindergarten teachers are a team of highly qualified staff. We use the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework to inform practice, and develop our distinctive Learning-through-Play Program to meet the children’s needs. We view the children as capable, and acknowledge them as active participants in their learning. Interactions are affectionate and respectful, integrating care and education. When you visit our Kindergarten you will see a variety of activities; free choice and intentional teaching, small and whole group experiences, including music, movement, literacy, mathematics and discussion. Educators use four areas of play and development: social, creative, cognitive and physical to plan experiences to meet the five outcomes articulated in the frameworks.
Our Funded Kindergarten operates 5 days a week, from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a minimum of 2 days attendance.
Things to remember:
• To sign your child in and out every day
• Your child’s bag with spare clothes
• A weather appropriate hat for outdoor play
• Please remember to clearly label all spare clothing
We encourage parent input and volunteers within our Kindergarten program and have regular parent interviews to keep you informed of your child’s learning. Our Qualified Kinder Teachers are Tayla (Kookaburras), Shari (Koalas), Jennelle (Emu’s) and Gaby (Goannas). If there are any concerns please feel free to speak to either of our Kindergarten Teachers or any of our qualified staff at any time.
